I had the "super narrow" with memory foam done on my 2012 Limited. It lowered the seat and made it very comfortable. I have 17k miles with my seat with 670 miles being my longest day of solid riding (10 hours only gas stops). I love it! http://www.meancitycycles.com/
I asked Mean City to do the super narrow mod, lower me an inch and add memory foam for me and my wife. Very pleased with the result and have 3,000+ miles on the modded seat now.
+1 on the Super Narrow, memory foam, and lowering. Had mine done in January, have almost 4000k on the bike now, and it rocks. Best mod I've done for safety (I'm 5' 6" and I can now flat foot my SG) and comfort. Also sprang for the heater while he had it apart, and glad I did that too. My wife sent her Sporty seat in as well for the memory foam and heater, and she's pleased as well. We're up in WB, BTW.
I had Mean City Cycles do a Super Narrow modification with the memory foam on my 2014 Ultra Classic this past March. I scheduled an appointment to do a ride in and had Allen do my modification while me and a friend went and ate some lunch in town.
I am 5' 6" short (lol) and have a 29 inch inseam. The seat modification allowed me to sit on the Ultra flat footed with the ability to push the motorcycle backwards while the bike is facing downhill. I just rode 540 miles yesterday and was not worried about how to park motorcycle in order to move it when departing for my next destination.
I must be the only one with not great results. Love the fact that it lowered me, but my *** still gets sore. Have about 1900 miles on the seat. And when it rains, it seems water gets into the foam.
