I have a 2006 electra glide classic. It had the extremely ugly stickers on the tank so I had them removed and the tank repainted (vivid black). I like the harley badges on the newer street glides and even the ultras for that matter. Does anyone know what model year emblems will fit my bike. I can't remember when they changed to the 6 gal tank and will they fit on my 5 gal tank due to the shape differences. I was looking at the street glide badges 62435-11 and 62437-11 (left and right side #'s). Will these fit? I would like to know before ordering them. Any help would be great
6 gal tanks came in 08. Nowadays, all of the emblems are attached using high strength double-stick tape. You can pretty much use any emblem that catches your fancy, regardless if 5 or 6 gal.

I have the two emblems that came off my new 2014 Ultra Limited if you would be at all interested. As the poster mentioned above, they are attached with two sided tape. PM me with a price you have in mind if you're interested.

while this is true for the most part, the six gallon tanks are a different shape and takes alittle work to get the cast badges to lay down good. you will have a little gap if installing the older style badges on six gallons tanks.
I did the opposite I think. I repainted my 07 SG and ditched the plastic badges instantly. I went with a painted design for a smoother look. To each his own I guess.

Cast, these are plastic. I took mine off my 14 street glide to.
I didn't care for the cheap looking plastic ones that came on my 2010 Limited,
so I purchased a set of the cast ones from the older Roadking Classics with the big V.
I just glue'ed em on with silicon glue.
