Hi, my name is Jerry I ride a 2010 FLHTK, has anyone experienced their windshield cracking from the area where the screws hold it on. It started when I switched my stock one out for a 12", but I noticed the stock windshield was starting to crack also. I'm now looking at replacing the fifth windshield. All work has been done by Harley Dealer and their dumbfounded also. They don't show a history of this problem with the FLHTK's.

With that many windshield failures something must be wrong.
My first thought of course is the screws that secure the windshield tightened correctly and is there any "slop" between the inner and outer fairings and is the inner fairing well secured to the forks?
The second would be, is to compare this bike's upper fairing area to see if there are any differences.
Lastly, any chance that someone may be tampering with your bike?
if the cracks aren't too bad you can stop drill them. Use a 1/8 drill or smaller and drill a small hole at the end of the crack. Learned this from airframe mechs.
I'm going through the same thing on my 2013 RG Ultra. I've never touched the stock windshield - only the dealer has. It started cracking last fall, not longer after I bought the bike, and I didn't worry about it until I took it in last week for other service. I asked if warranty would cover it. The answer: No. I'm not a happy HD customer right now. The bike is a year old and I only have 6K miles on it. The windshield shouldn't be cracking. It's cr@p.

I disagree with you. You should have taken it back when you first noticed it. Maybe the dealership would've taken care of it then.

Just got mine replaced on warranty, just before it expired, same thing as yours, the new windshield perspex appears thicker than the old.
