Wondering if someone could help me answer this question... I have a 2008 street glide that I bought from a friends friend. He had the navigation module installed, so he says, when he bought the bike.... But he never used it. I literally just opened up the navigation cd package, still wrapped in original plastic... Put in the nav cd.... But the screen says, "see dealership". And I can't operate the nav. Any suggestions? I figured that if he didn't have "nav", why would he have the nav cd's? I just want some advice before I contact the original owner and waste money and time at a dealership on this. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
it probably has the GPS hardware installed, but never had the option enabled. Pull the fairing and look for the antenna. The dealer has to hook up their HD test equipment to get the radio enabled. I had a similar issue getting my CB working. It took longer to write up my work order than it took the tech to get it working. Shouldn't cost more than their minimum labor fee; mine was a 30 minute charge, even though it only took 5 minutes.
