for less money you can have a savvy Indy work on your bike- someone who didn;t like being kept "in a box" at a dealer

That is the gospel truth..my indy was the lead tech for Harley 5 years but hated the constraints on his talent. Opened in his own shop and now dominates the area. He is bright, honest, and decent...talking to a Harley tech about anything other than relatively new bikes, is a waste of time..

If you end up having to install the Harley ECM, the dealer is able to program the new ECM with a Stage 1 download, which will account for your air cleaner and pipes. That should cost about $150.00. The SC Tuner is not required, just the download.
