Slip-On Hot Spot
The wife has a 14 RK that is stock. On the right slip on, there is a burnt / hot spot on it. It's about the size of a half dollar or so and is locate about midway down at about the 2 o'clock position. What would cause this? I know, it runs lean but there are lots of other stockers that don't have this.

Lean, and idling in traffic. Just got hotter than it should have at some point. Don't think to much into it we both know stock it's running lean and hot. Remove the cat if you haven't already, it will help!
Usually this is caused by oil or cleaning products on hot chrome. Even oil from finger prints will burn into the chrome. Here is a link to an extreme example. This muffler wasn't cleaned after installation. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/rush-...r-install.html
