Default Dyno Numbers

I will be changing the cams and header next week. I pulled out the dyno sheet from the last time I had it ran. It is an 09 Ultra with an Arlen Ness Big Sucker, Reinheardt 3 1/2" slip ons, and Screamin Eagle Race Tuner. Max Power is 73.65 and Max Torque is 88.39. Does that sound about normal number for a 96 cu in motor with the above minimal mods? I'm adding the V&H Power Dual header and SE255 cams with the above items. Will be curious to see how much I pick up.

Comparing one bike's dyno results to another's is apples and oranges. I wouldn't be too concerned with the actual numbers, how does it FEEL? Are you happy with the performance mods you've made? It will be interesting to see the gains with the new mods though.

Looks about normal, i'd think you would pick up some tq with the 255's at least.

I was running TW-555 in my 96 and it was night and day difference in performance.

You bringing it to *** HD for the dyno tune?

Thinking of adding the SE255 cam to my fine running '07 Ultra.
Curious about the change when it's done.
Some say if it runs fine now, don't change.
I have the lifters and cam already.
Just wondered if I should put them in.

Have SE A/C & SE slip-ons with Power Commander.
HP 70.74
TQ 81.85
Nice smooth read-out.
Curious how much I'd gain if I change.

I'm taking it to Ray Price this time. I have used ***'s for everything else. ***'s was $360 for the first 5 hours and then $85 per hour after. Ray Price is a set $300 flat rate no matter how long it takes.

I'll let you how much of a difference it makes for me once I have them done and tuned.

Good to know. I don't have my receipt with me but it took *** 4hrs to tune the new cams in my 120r, wondering how long Ray Price will have yours on the dyno? If it's more than 4hrs I'd like to know. ***'s tune is running fine but I get the feeling it was rushed.

Good luck with the install, I'll be back from NH the end of July if you need any help. I have all the bearing pullers and installers at my house!

Thanks. I appreciate the offer. Someone has loaned me the bearing remover and installer tool. I will let you know how it goes. We will have to meet up at some point once your back in the area.

Hi there

Talked with a Dynoman, who recommend the SE255 cam for my 96" Breakout.

So I went to my dealer to order and was told the SE255 is only for 103 and 110 engines. Checked it out on their HP with the same result !

Makes me wonder when many writes about how happy they are for the cams and many had them installed at the dealer ??
