im looking to build a torque bike... sure the hp will be up there too but im looking at concentrating on torque... alot of mountain riding and im 6'3 265lbs
anywho... i have aquired a set of HTCC heads with compression realeases used from a buddy..
ordered a RB LSR 2 into 1 exhaust
a local dealer is gonna have a 30% off sale in a month.... can i get the rest of what i need from the dealer? or should i look outside the box for a cam and such...
id love to see right at 100hp and over that in torque...
well just got off the phone with woods.... great people to bs with... looks like im gonna shoot for the gear cam from them.... they asked a ton of questions and according to that came up with what id need...
Just so you know, HTCC heads can work very well but ONLY IF THEY ARE SET UP CORRECTLY.
If you just bolt them on without carefully setting the quench & checking the CC's, you will never see 100/100 HP/TQ.
I have built a half dozen HTCC motors that ran very well, but I am an experienced engine builder(I built my first stroker motor in 1971)& I don't just slap the parts together like most Harley dealers do.
I like Woods cams also(I am running a TW-6HG in my high compression 95" motor)although they are somewhat noisy & the noise will bother some people. I love the way they perform so the noise doesn't bother me.

im having a guy do the build who has done numerous so i feel pretty comfortable...not going to the harley dealer for the build....
these heads are comming off my buddies 103 motor...112hp and higher torque.... he is going to the cnc heads and a few more changes hoping to see 120 on a 103...
the heads were cleaned up by a machinist who has also built a ton of motors and he is somewhere round 120hp on a 95inch
woods suggested the tw5g and there oil cooler due to high compression...(helps on really hot days)
