I've had the 10" Windsplitter for a year. I'm 5'9" and look just over the top. The wind and rain blow over mine and my wife's head. It's wider, which helps keep the wind off the hands during the winter. I love it.
Like many already posted, a KW 6.5" here ... 6'-0" and the wife is 5'-9". Works great for us. Solo, I ride with the stock seat and two-up, we ride with a Sundowner. Like exhausts/slip-ons, seats, colors, and most everything else, it is all about personal preference. Most HD dealers will let you demo many sizes and styles ... take advantage of that and buy what works best for you and your passenger.
curious..what is the actual height difference between say the 7 windsplitter and the 6.5 KW? I didn't know if they both measured from the same point or not
I'm 5"10 and never had the chance to demo a Klock werks, but have the 10" and 7" windsplitters with my sundowner seat on my SG. I look right though the curve of the 10" the distortion was awful for me the 7" works well.
I'm 5'10 and another happy 6.5 KW owner. Greatly improves buffetting (you never truly eliminate it) and still looks good on the bike!
I was not interested in riding around with the equivalent of a 4'x3' sheet of plexiglass for a windscreen......the KW does the job for me.
Hey all. Am considering a KW 6.5" Flare for my 2016 FLHXS and was wondering if my 3 pocket batwing fairing will fit. Does anyone have the 3 pocket on their KW 6.5" windshield? https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...-fairing-pouch

I forgot so you may want to check their website but I think the KW is measured from the center mounting screw to where it flips up. That makes my 8.5 KW more like 9.5 +. It is perfect for me at 5'9" on my Ultra Low seat for long distance touring. My 7" LRS Ultra Elite Flip is measured from the center screw to the top.
My CVO came with the 7" Windsplitter and it worked great, but it was too short when I switched to a Mustang seat. I went with the 8.5" KW and it's perfect. I look over the top just like I did with the CVO seat and the WS. I am 5'10", but it's sitting height that matters.
