My New to me 2006 FLHRCI has 101k mikes
Purchased for 9K .. One owner.. total service history done at the Local HD shop, they gave me print outs of everything .. synthetic oil, tires, lots of them .. the can chain tensioner replaced at 60K with new cam bearings and quick connect push rods.. the bike looked new, the owner was a service beast ... Aside from replacing clutch clips, and some minor owner desired changes .. the bike feels solid, rides awesome. My local Indy shop friend looked her over, said, jeff, buy it and ride the wheels off it, bet you get 20k more .. when she does go, put a 4K new powertrain in her and keep going. He did warn me about sprockets and chains wearing out, and lifters and cams .. and wants to cut the oil filter open and look for cam chain tensioners pieces.. I love the big frame, and the saddle bags, I traded my Dyna Super Glide, I miss her torque and nimbleness .. The HD sales man miss lead me, I swear he said it had a 96 motor but I've figured out it's the 88 .. That's my fault, I should know my bikes .. so any insightful suggestions? Sales man said it has stage 1 on it.. but it doesn't seem so .. pretty quiet ,.. although its a beautiful purr .. I need to figure out if they put a power commander on her and what else .. it would have been done at the HD .. Guess I need to bond with the service guy and have him detail what's what ... I 'm thinking gear drives, and stage 2 .. but is it worth it at over 100K .. ideas ?? If you've read this thank you ..
