Default LRS Quality Control?

I have to say I'm disappointed with LRS. I've purchased 3 shields in the past few years and never had a problem, but my last order (11 in Clear) had 2 nice blems right in the line of sight. They were quick to respond and sent out another one with a return label to ship the first one back. The problem is the replacement one has a nice deep 1/2 inch scratch in it also.
I emailed them with the picture of the scratch twice with no response. The problem is these did not come from shipping. They passed inspection which troubles me with quality control.
I can't say I wouldn't purchase from them again, but they need to inspect upon shipping just in case something happens while it sits on a shelf.

Very Disappointed

That's really odd and I'm sorry to hear that. A couple of weeks ago, I emailed James, of LRS about purchasing one of their blemished Ultra shields. I was expecting a slight scratch or ding on the shield. James sold me the shield for $50 and quickly shipped it to me. Within a hand full of days, I received the shield. I did a full inspection and there was not 1 blemish, scratch or anything wrong with it. I don't know why it was labeled as blemished because I found it to be exceptionally perfect. This is my 2nd shield from LRS and I've always found the customer service to be spot on.

I would contact James directly (he's a sponsor here) and let him know your concerns. I'm positive that he'll make the situation right. LRS is known for quality products and superior customer service.

I'm sure this will work out.

Guaranteed. They will fix you right up. Easier to call them than post it here.

LOL Maybe.

I'm not looking to send it back or get a discount, in fact my email to them says I was keeping it anyway.
I guess my disappointment is more in the non response to my emails. The first rock that hits it would scratch it anyway, it just would have been nice to be acknowledged that the 2nd one had an issue too and they may want to look into their quality control. I can't call until the weekend. so that was the reason for my emails.

It's not a problem specific to LRS. I recently purchased a Klockwerks screen for my FLTRX, and there was a definite dimple in the shield that was there prior to packing and shipping. Like 1" long by 1/2" deep, definitely easy to spot by a QC person...

Next time order a blemished unit, they are perfect, and you'll save some cash.
