Hey Relli, I've been thinkin of gettin one too and looked into them last summer. I would definately get the adjustable one so you can change up positions on long runs, and from what I see when you want to remove em (at least on the HD one), it looks like you basically just squeeze the 2 sides of the support bars together and pull it up. Should be 2 seconds to remove from what I've seen....

The non-adjustable one works fine for me. You can adjust up and down or lean angle at gas stops.

Don't waste your hard earned money on the cable adjustable one. The standard will move to any position, up/down, back and forth as the other one. But, I've found that once adjusted, I've never had the urge to move it. Kinda like the power seats in your car, when you get 'em set, you rarely move them. As for the backrest itself, they're both the same. Just squeeze the legs and pull it out.

I totally agree with Chris. I have the one without the cable adjuster, and love it. When I first got it, I kept changing the angle and height in search of the perfect position. Now that I have it 'dialed in,' I can't imagine making any new adjustments. BTW, its a piece of cake to remove and re-install. Once you've done it a few times, it takes only seconds.

Another option would be the mustang, which is much thinner, adjustable, and all you have to do to remove it is pull it straight up.

I have the "fixed" one and I didn't know you could change the lean angle on it. Where do you change the lean angle?

There's a hole on the backside of the backrest with a metal grommet around it. Stick a allen key in there and turn the set screw to adjust the angle.

Thanks. Do I need to pull up the fabric to get to it, or is it exposed?
