Voltage regulator recall

I got a letter from themotor companyindicating a possible recall on my 06 Ultra voltage regulator--figured I would get it checked on my next service (35000)--damn if last night it didn't stop charging--lights went dim--low battery light came on etc. I turned off all that I could and made it home. The problem is that I am not at home so had to go this morning to Ft. Myers Harley and ask their help--although they were backed up--they checked my bike and wound up putting in a new voltage regulator under the recall/warranty--REAL NICE PEOPLE--anyhow it seems to be working okay again.

Man my regulator better not crap out on me on the way to the dealer which is about 15 miles away!!! I am on the way there now and its freakin cold here in PA again!!! WHERE THE HELL IS SPRING???

you should have asked for a chrome one and split the difference.

I do have the chrome cover for the regulator.

Just got my 10k service done on my 06 flhti and monday morning got the recall letter in the mail. Taking it tomorrow am to have them swap it out. Who in the heck ordered this damn cold weather, I moved from Northern NY to get away from this crap. Anyhow hopefully no more recall letters anytime soon.
