I'm looking to change the head unit in my RG, i think the HU is holding back my audio set up big time
what are my best options to go with and still be able to use my handlebar controls?
my big thing to consider is weather resistance, i have searched but have not saw a good cover to use or what was a great weather resistant unit.
the SG is protected more naturally by way it sits in fairing. my RG is exposed as it can get and i do ride in rain and sometimes very severe rain.
from talking to some of the audio forum members, one of the bad points of the stock audio is the speakers. for just a good upgrade some better quality speakers will be a help to start off with.
co-worker has a street glide that he put some polk 6.5" UM speakers in his fairing (2ohm speaker) and his 2 speakers sounded better than my 4 stock speakers parked side by side. and he had the stock head unit too.
