I really do enjoy my Road King, and perhaps it is the Dyna rider in me, but I cannot get used to the floorboards, and the cramped set up on the bike drives me nuts. I would like to get back to the forward control type set up I had on the Dyna.
I am not talking about Highway pegs. I don't care for them, as I want my feet near the controls, but also an extended reach at all times.
I have found some aftermarket floorboard forward controls type set ups, but the price is prohibitive. As such, I am curious what all would be entailed on putting a standard pegs set up on a Road King, and if asnyone has done this before?
Also, any suggested links on extended control options for a Road King? Thanks for any suggestions...
I felt the same way, and found Kury long arm cruise bars helped the situation without changing controls. There are pics in my garage, I used the switchblade pegs.
I have been wondering the same thing. I think its more the angle than anything else that is making me miss forwards. The footboards make my feet sit too flat, I'd rather my toes Up a bit more! If I stretch my legs forward on the boards I feel like my feet are pointing at the road.
Yeah that is my problem as well. Makes for an uncomfortable ride after a while. Thanks. For the suggestion, I will try some extenders and see if it helps.
