To date, if you get Harleys 19 inch agitator the only tire you can use that has the appropriate load rating is the Dunlop that Harley Davidson has been set as the only provider and is expensive. If you stay with the stock rim you can find a much less expensive tire with appropriate ratings from other sources.

I wanted a 21 inch rim but could not find a tire that had a load rating for my bike. Some are close.

I think that you have a very valid point here, it never even dawned on me what the prices would be for a 21" tire. I am all ready sick of the price tag on the Harley Stock tires being the Dunlop. I only got 9,000 on my first set which the front only had 2/32 left when I replaced them and now my 2nd set I have 7000 miles on them and have 4/32nd left of tread on both the front and rear. So I am getting close to the time for another set.

Tire/wheel size is all about fashion. Handling is not/little effected with 16-17-18 stock wheel/ tire combos. 21 plus will "slow" handling. I run a 21 for the look and put up with a little " chopper floppyness". Our tourers handle so bad it makes little difference .

Just to clarify but Avon 21's Venoms have a 68 load rating. Better then some of the stock tires? I ,my friend and my son have run this tire for years and it handles great and looks great? My two cents
