Default Recommendations for next mod?

Hey all,

Just curious of which mod I should pursue next? 2006 SG, Rinehart true duals, with Big city thunder baffles. Just installed a power commander and mapped it. Next on the list, air filter if not please recommend.

I'm not overly familiar with the brands out there. I know there's a hypercharger. etc. I am just looking for it to run a bit smoother, don't need to spend ridiculous money on an air filter setup. Unless you guys have another mod that'll be worth the money (either engine, or comfort/looks).

Thanks in advance!

Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1.
Cheapest and just as effective as the spendy one's.
Made in USA too.

Thanks guys, neither one of those are very appealing to the eye. Do they offer covers, or anything to dress it up a bit? Wouldn't look right on my bike since it's mostly chrome. Thanks

You might want to double check that made in the USA part. Ness is located here in CA but I highly doubt his air cleaners are made here.

Air cleaner for sure and then cams, BB kit, and a nice set of SE heads. This is so easy when I'm spending someone else's money!

The ness big sucker will accept any factory replacement air cleaner cover, including the factory football cover. More choices that route than you can shake a stick at.

There are only a few companies making true performance intakes anymore.

DK Custom
NRHS
Hammer

I don't know of any others.

Pushing blow-by back into the air cleaner is counter productive to performance. What comes out of the breathers is primarily exhaust and oil.

It is also hot. Engines perform better with cool dry air and gas...not hot oily air and gas.

Additionally the exhaust gas has a lower oxygen content, displacing oxygen on each combustion stroke. Another performance robber.

Oil will build up carbon deposits on the pistons, leading to pinging/tuning problems down the road.

It's just a bad idea...the only upside is you make the EPA happy.

You can see the dozens of different looks of the DK Custom Outlaw 587 A/C's HERE Also at that link are dyno charts showing the bump in torque and HP, by just NOT venting the hot oily air into the intake.

We also offer a 425, and a FORWARD FACING A/C.

Here is just one of the many options that we offer:

Build your own or if you want to use stock football cover then cut down back like mine in pic. Ran on my 08 like that for years.*
