I am up till now riding a Softail Heritage Classic 2003 Anniversary. Fully equipped for the long trip. But though I consider to change for an Electra Glide, much more comfortable on my long trips. After Project Rushmore there are plenty of used bikes on the market with few mileage and a decent price.
I place this question just here on the Touring site, because I expect some experience here.
Compared with Electra Glides Ultra Classic before 'Rushmore" and the 'Rushmore' generation, are there clear differences in handling, riding and comfort? If so, what do you prefer, the 'Rushmore' generation or the generation before? Please specify your answers...
