Adjustable Back Rest Question

What is the difference between the backrest mount 52593-09A which is for 2008 & earlier and the backrest mount 52596-09A for 2009 and up. I've read the fender on the 2009 is wider but how much? I've located a mount bracket but the party selling it doesn't know which one it is. They did measure the hole spacing and it is 4.5" I've already acquired the cable and the backrest post with pad for a 2009 FLHTCU a while back so I just need the mounting bracket for my 09 FLHTCU to complete the install. Any info will be appreciated.

The two brackets are quite a bit different. If you have pics of the bracket in question you may be able to compare the picture to the ones listed on the HD parts site.
