That is an issue I had with them. I actually slid about 3ft in a corner because of that.

I agree the V&H ran cooler than my 09 stock pipe.

That's where I'll be headed.

I think most of the head pipes are pretty good, but after much research I went with V&H Power Duals, Monster Rounds, and FP3 on my 2015 Ultra Classic. I can say that I'm very happy with this set up, and I have absolutely no buyers remorse.

Fullsac pipes will cost less, work well, & with the X pipe it will have good performance.
I went with Rinehart Slimline Dual for how it looks & the performance, Just Saying.

The "best" pipe is subjective. The top performing pipe design is a 2-1, but they never looked right to me. I guess everyone has their own opinions though. For a street bike that rarely sees 5K rpm, I'd suggest you just get the one that looks best to you. They are all within a few horsepower of each other (within the same style...true duals, 2-1-2, or 2-1). I have the S&S pipes myself too, and like them. Nice fit and finish, good placement of the O2 bungs, and no loss of cornering clearance. Not overly expensive either, got mine from Amazon.

Ditto! $399 for a ceramic pipe is hard to argue with.

I suppose if I was looking for "the best" head pipe. And I was doing heads cams etc.....I would probably talk to a good dyno tuner.
Because a real good dyno tuner, has seen it all.

Otherwise...... pick one that looks good to you or had good value and keep riding......

Jackpot stainless steel header with ceramic lining.... Cooler without the cat, cooler with the ceramic and Jackpot has a built-in flange that requires you use a flat racing header washer. It was an easy 1 hour install.
