Just picked up a new bike and noticed that there is no antenna. There is a rubber plug where it is supposed to be. The radio gets reception so in town but not so great out a ways. Do some bikes have a hidden antenna from the factory or did my dealer forget to screw it on?

 

I would say they forgot to screw it on.

I know the Ultra doesn't come with a cb,so probably no cb antenna either.What are you riding?

 

I'd say this is a ? for your dealer...they might've added hidden antenna, or is you bike not a touring w/audio (gotta ask)?

Ultra has 1 antenna, 1 plug, Limited has 2 antennas....

 

if the dealer forgot to screw it on, it would be easy enough to check. look under the plug, is there an antenna base there? if so, he forgot.

 

It's a street glide special. Under the plug is a little black rubber nipple covering something. Guess I'll call them up tomorrow and see what's up.

 

I'd bet it has the hidden antenna, if it has the solid plug. If he forgot it would have the rubber grommet with the wole, the solid one comes with the kit.

 

The black rubber nipple and antenna hole plug come with the hidden antenna. They didn't just put those on and forget to put the antenna on. Your bike has a under hidden antenna put on from the dealer. Don't worry, I'm sure you paid for it.
