Hello I just purchased a used Power commander V model 15-011 from a forum member. He downloaded the map I needed from fuel moto (i have apple computer). I installed the PCV on my 13 FLHX and the bike just cranks wont fire the unit lights up so I know theres power there. I installed my old tuner and bike fires right up. Any ideas what this could be? I am hoping maybe the map was never loaded or something simple like that. Any help would be appreciated
Partition your mac drive and install windows on that other partition...Install Maps you need...Get frustrated at PC5 stuff and then finally buy a Thundermax....
In all honesty, I have a mac and just partitioned the drive to run windows on the other side. Most Diagnostic software needs windows. The PC software is not that hard to run...
Hopefully the unit isnt bad.I just had my PCV go bad a few weeks back.
Rode the bike to the store with no issues, came out, bike would only crank.Took off the seat, and removed the PCV,bike fired right up.Went home, reconnected it,no start.Disconnected, then it started.
I'm not sure what the pcv would do with no map. Borrow a friends PC to try again at installing a good map, but the first thing I thought was yours is shot.
I borrowed a laptop and went over everything again. It looks like the tuner is bad. It says the map loaded successfully but still won't fire. My buddy came by who has the same tuner with a different tune. He removed his tuner but it in my bike and it fired off. I took mine installed on his bike and it just cranks won't fire. I have been in contact with the forum member who sold it to me and he is making good on it.
