I use all Harley products, total cycle cleaner for the engine and novus on the windshield. HD chrome cleaner is the best there is. And use a air force blaster instead of a leaf blower. the filtered air and hot air makes a world of difference.
If you can find it, "Yachtbrite" works on all surfaces and comes in a stubby enough can to stash just about anywhere. Stuff it in an old tube sock and you can fold it over almost twice.
For the wash I just use any ole good quality soap.
Heard dishwashing soap with jet dry works good (no spots),
but never tried it.
I towel dry most of it.
Move the bike forward a little and sit down and polish the chrome
and listen to some tunes.
Used to have the girlfriend help. But kept getting distracted (you know how it is).
A lead blower --- is that a guy on his 2nd 6 pack with a leaf blower?
i use a shop vaccum on the blow side after i've washed it out and put in a new filter.
I would stay away from dishwashing soaps, especially Dawn and it will strip your wax off. I use Zaino wax on my Trans Am and in the instructionsfortheir claybarthey specifically instruct you to use Dawn to strip off the wax.

car wash and a chamois towel. HD chrome polish sometimes. If you rinse with soft water, just wipe it off. I use AstroShield glaze. Microfiber towels clean best in between washes.
