Default LRS BUG Shield
Anyone else have rainbow effect looking threw one ?


I installed one before trip on a 2014 street glide couple hours into ride noticed rainbow colors throughout shield got to stop for the day and thought maybe it was from protective film butt gave it a good cleaning and seemed like all was going to be good but after another hour on road rainbow was back very annoying .This was the ultra -elite .

If you are referring to the Long Ride Shields windshield, I have a 10" Utra, and an 8" Ultra Elite.

I have zero issues with them. ABSOLUTELY love both of mine, I see no rainbows.

This might sound stupid, but are you wearing polarized sunglasses when you ride? This could be the cause of the rainbow.

It is the polarized sun glasses or goggles you are wearing that does this....you won't see the rainbow with clear glasses or none at all.

Sorry at work deal with trucks all day ,YES windshield although out west really is bug shield. Yes with polarized glasses had not thought of this because did not show up for first have of day maybe could be sun or direction headed. Thank you for idea although had no trouble with either previous windshields . So I ask is this just a problem with some manufactures.

Good to know, i just ordered the LRS 10 Elite today.

Note to self, don't wear polarized sunglasses while riding.
