Why do people always need to bash the MOCO? there are so many great things about this bike that all you do was name the two you found to be wrong....
Because there are riders, that buy the bike to enjoy on the road, and there are people that like to brag to their co-workers, compare numbers , bench race and nit pick. Those people do not actually enjoy riding, then find out they do not even actually enjoy ownership and end up only enjoying bitching.
Saw the new 15 CVO SG today and noticed 2 things right away that make no sense.
1) The CVO has a different ignition switch with a cover that flips open which presses against the inner fairing causing it to flex regardless of what position the **** is in. It doesnt just touch it flexes the panel. They added some clear protective tape to the fairing as an after thought.
2) They added a headset port to the panel on the left of the radio but it's so low the plug hits the center tank console when you turn left. If it was 1" higher it would clear and there's plenty of room to move it up.
The sales guy said they are all scratching their heads on these and have had customers come back complaining about both.
I'm surprised by the carelessness of HD making such stupid mistakes like this.
If MOCO gets enough negative feedback they'll change it on future models. That's why it's not a bad idea to hold off on buying something that's newly redesigned. I wonder what issues they're going to have with the new Road Glide? I'm not going to be a guinea pig... not that I would want a new one anyway!

Just got back from our dealer roll out of the 2015s. They brought this one out of the warehouse and when the sun hit it WOW, it was like it had diamonds in the paint.
So OP, I own a CVO SG and yes there is a plastic strip on the dash panel, but as many times I have turned the Fork Lock, it never made contact with the Dash Panel and "Flexed" it as you noted.. The Head set connection, no it does not hit the Tank as already noted. Personally I am smiling ear to ear owing and riding this machine. Why is the clear protective tape there than? I took photos of it and two salesmen saw the same thing. If what you say is correct, and it should be since you own one and I just sat on one : ), the only thing I can figure is the ignition was messed up on it. My 14 SGS has 4 positions on the ignition but this CVO only had 2. Maybe if you try to open it in the wrong positions it rubs?
I'm more surprised by the CB cable. It had one plugged into it and when turned all the way left it was hitting, rubbing and laying on the tank center console.
oh and I'm not bashing I bought 2 different 14 Harleys just posting what I saw as I was very surprised.
Pointing out a design flaw is not "bashing", complaining how MOCO can't do anything right or suggesting that they need to be sued, IS! What gets me is people with that attitude still choose own one.

For the price, those sparkles better be real diamonds.
