It was 20,19,18, phil. i wish i could practice with some motor officers on a weekly basis. that would just be too sweet. im always trying to push it just a little further. just cant getenough of it i guess. everytime i do something new, like side-saddle,i just start looking for the next thing i cando to step it up. i even started making my own coursesand have been ponderingshaving the stops.
im gonna miss the job... wont take MY bike off-roading, up and down steps, jumping curbs, logs... memeories wont go away though... like sitting at top level inside three rivers stadium... never in my life did i think i would have done the things i did...some not so brite...lol
i get people askin all the time how do you do that..... my number one answer is commitment and trust in yourself... (of course after u understand the technique)
i think, after my experince, people who ride should spend time in parking lots training for there own benifit.... I have utmost repect for you (Phil and Allen) and others who are hungry for the training and you go and get it... wish more would do that....
i get very frustrated when im riding with people and they cant even make a right turn staying in there lane....arrrggghhhh i can do that in my crew cab truck! and THEY can do it they just dont have trust in either the bike, them or both.....
anywho...i am involved with the amvets, we are starting a riding club... i have been thinking bout once a year or more if wanted, setting up some training days for us all to get out there and have some fun and learn more control of the scoots...it should be fun and good for all involved...i cant get enough of it.

well, when i make it to Texas... ill behookin up and doing some riding with you guys.....hardcore...love it..
btw, scraping at speed isnt hard to do at all.... doing it while clutch is in grey area/ 2000rpm/ and draggin rear brake with a speed under 5mph thats where she gets tricky
low speeds are the only time i drag my boards. also, talk to another motor officer on a different forum about low speed manuvering with no rear brake, at all. been workin on this and surprisingly, not much harder than manuvering with the rear brake. also, recently saw a motor officer video with an officer standing squated on his seat while going through a course. so of course I thought "why cant i do it if he can?". been workin on that aswell. i would love to meet up and do some practicing as I am sure if would be a great learning experience.

correct using no brake is the next level....then your throttle and clutch are no longer locked....(locked meaning you dont alter its position and control speed through rear brake) it can become very fluid and smooth that way....
Hey I've been thinking about this a lot lately myself. I picked up a few DVD's from Ride Like a Pro. They are fantastic. I have been thinking about picking up a few cones and setting them up. If anyone in Maryland is doing this please let me know. I have a question, I am picking up a new Ultra and wanted to know it there is anything I should/can do to protect it while practicing. I'm sure I'll drop it quite a few times. Otherwise, I am thinking about picking up an older bike to practice with and then sell it on ebay when I'm done with it (such as after I stop dropping it a lot).
Ihave seen people wrap their crash bars in plastic hose. That will pretty much take care of it.
