I've been looking at the reflector, but like the trucklites, the maxxima is still about half the price, so I'm hoping it's half way between the two in performance, if not better than the TL. Been holding out as long as I can, but I may end up being a guinea pig & getting a maxxima soon

I thought about the Maxxima as well, but I couldn't find a single review on it. I thought long and hard about the TL as well, but the lack of daytime visibility and the fact that it either had to stick out of the stock trim ring looking ugly, or require the additional purchase of the frenched trim ring, I decided to spend the extra bucks and get the Reflector. The dealer matched Kutter's price at $330, which made it a better deal overall in my opinion. No matter which LED you choose, however, it will be worlds better than the stock headlight once you get it aimed correctly.
I have the Truck Lite PH7 and passing lamps in my Ultra. I love it at night. WOW! To offset the hard to see during the day issue, I run my passing lamps all the time now. It seems to eliminate the issue with the passing lamps on.
I also have the Socal Moto HIDs in my RGC. Double Wow! I actually think the Socal Moto HID package is brighter, but it does need some adjustment to the light position after install to get the light beam correct.
The HD stuff is equally as good, but pretty expensive compared to the aftermarket lights.
I have a Trucklite P7 and Socal LED bulbs in my driving lights ($50 a pair), luv the look....and cost
Only way I can describe the high beam on a country road is SEARCHLIGHT...blew me away !
I have been running the truck-lite phase 7 for two years now. Moved them from my 06 to the 2010 Limited when I traded last month.
I do drive a lot at night/early morning - bright and early to work every day before the sun rises.
I don't like the light pattern on hard turns, but that is not what I am doing in the wee hours and at night. No way would I justify the costs of the daymakers from H-D.
I tried the HID without a proper reflector - no good.
I did see a new replacement "bulb" - H4 or something the other day in Bagger magazine that sounded interesting and somewhat less expensive.

I have HD Daymakers on my S.G. Lots of complaints from fellow riders that they are too bright. I tell them, "Not for me." They light up the road ditch to ditch.
