I tried both, the 6 1/2 seemed too short. I got the 8 1/2. It seemed too tall. I ended up drilling new holes dropping it to 7 1/2. Worked great for me. Klock werks has demo stands at certain dealers if you want to try the 6 1/2 first.
I thought I was the only rider nuts enough to cut new holes in an 8.5 to make it a 7.5. Worked great. I'm 6.2 and I have a slightly lowered C&C solo seat.

Mine is brand new and has less than a mile on it. It is what Klock Werks refers to as Dark Smoke. I'm not looking for the same (as in brand new) just that it's in decent shape without gouges or scratches.
