I have been questioning if the factory stock HAND ADJUSTABLE shocks are the same as the PREMIUM RIDE ones. Every thing I have seen is that the stock factory ones have a smaller diameter spring with less wraps on the right side than the pictures of the PREMIUM ones. Both show a larger right side with more wraps.

From my understanding, the original design was smaller diameter on the right side. The improved version, supposedly updated circa 2013, has the same diameter on both sides.
Exactly, I just received mine today from a 2016 Street Glide Special and the right side only has 10 spirals and are smaller diameter.
That is why I think there is a difference in the stock ones and the Premiums ones.
The length is not in question.
If you check the Harley website the Premiums com in either the 12" or 13".
There seems to be a difference between the stock HAND ADJUSTABLES and the PREMIUM ADJUSTABLES.
