Default detachable backrest w/ luggage rack
I have a detachable backrest w/ luggage rack.. the pad has the black gems around the outside.. It has quite a bit of surface rust on it.. It does come off with some good cleaner, and a little effort, but would make a good powder coat project.. Came off a 05, so not sure what all years it will fit.. $60 shipped to the lower 48 states

I had quite a bit of that same mess to deal with. Spray the stuborn stuff with penatrating oil, then rub it with the steel wool. you'll be amazed. And you won't damage the chrome.
