i am interested in the backrest. what was done to modify it? i see the pics but do not see anything different about it. Thanks JC
I welded up the hole for the old cam lock, moved it up about 1/4" and made the slot the docking hardware fits into about a 1/4" deeper to line up with the new hole. Polished the metal a little and shot it with clear to prevent any rusting. Photo above shows what it looks like after.
It allows the backrest to drop down about 1/4" more into the slot which up top translates to about 1" movement back to allow a little more room for a passenger.
My GF is only 100lbs and even she complained about how cramped it was with my backrest on so I modified it. I've now done this mod for a few other people who saw mine bust most of them wanted 2" of movement.
I just wanted to make sure I was being transparent about what I did to all bidders and I've made sure to make sure each person who PM'd me saw that note and the photo.
