It will change the sound a bit louder but the main reason to remove the cat is too get rid of the heat issue

Jswerve is right, it sounds a little deeper (not much) than stock. The main reason I had it done, was to reduce the heat produced by the cat. I initially was going to keep the bike with a stock motor, and just "decat" the exhaust. But after just a few months of having the exhaust decatted, I changed my mind, (decided to part with some funds), and went ahead and had some motor work done. Since I was doing cams, lifters, pushrods, and intake...I decided to toss in the fullsac "X" head pipe.
