Brand New In Box Unopened Part Number 26057. $500 plus actual cost of shipping. Am I asking too much money for a part that cost over $600 to buy elsewhere? Can you find a better price for the same pipes new? These pipes fit 2010-2014 touring.
I agree with the others that you're asking too much...
A quick Google search shows 'new' pricing on that set-up at $539.
To reference cost differences...the V&H 'Hi-Output' mufflers I just bought are showing $639 on Google...I paid $460 from a local H-D dealership for a set off of their display.
From a private party, $350 is about the most I would expect to pay.

Just my $0.02.
I did the google search. The price range is 539.00 to well over $600. I haven't seen anyone who sells them for less then $600, except me of course which tells me my price is a steal. If I can't get my asking price then I will just install them on my bike as originally planned. I was selling them to use the money for a motorcycle payment because my worker compensation benefits had stopped for 2 months. I don't need to sell then now because the money is coming back in. Someone should grab them at this price before I change my mind and keep them.
So you ask if the price is to high, then when you get an answer you argue that your price is fine?? WTF?? Why ask in the first place??
My price is right for these pipes. The low range of $539 is not an apple to apple comparison because $539 is not the touring model price. I would have bought them for that price, I'm an expert shopper. I know the lowest price for these pipes was $604 plus shipping. Had I run across these pipes for my SG here at the price I'm offering I would have bought them. No one was selling new in unopened box here.

Sir.
I'm not trying to hijack your sales pitch...I actually meant to reply to the other post you made in the touring models section...so sorry for killing your vibe.
You can obviously ask whatever you want...but in the other thread you asked for opinions. I simply popped onto The Google and 'page 1' said $539 w/free shipping for a new set that would be warrantied. So. My opinion stands. Whether they were installed or not...they can't be sold as 'new', since you are not a retailer. That said. About $350 is the most I would even consider giving (being way generous) if I were in the market for that particular exhaust.
Good luck on the sale...or the install...or whatever you decide to do.

The pipes are considered new since the box is received factory sealed in the same condition a retailer would list them as. Saying that they are not new because I'm not a retailer is not a logical statement. The same could be said of a retailer because the retailer bought them from a manufacturer. Since a retailer is not a manufacturer are all parts they sell in an unopened box not considered new?
This is the problem with selling something on a forum. There are a lot of people who just can't grasp the fact that $100 less than what you'd pay for the same exact item from a retailer is a great price. As far as the warranty goes the manufacturers warranty still applies. Vance and Hines would stand behind the product for the length of normal life of warranty. They would quickly go out of business if they chose not to warrant a product just because it changed hands.
Price for pipes is now $604 plus $25 dollar shipping anywhere in the lower 48 US. I tried to offer them for a great price, so now if you want them you can pay me the same as I bought them for.
