About 30K on an RDL myself. I switched it over to my Tri-Glide from my Ultra. I kept my wiring harness you need for a heated seat as well of course.

Re: Original Harley Road Zeppelin seat.(air bladder)
The manufacturer no longer repairs their product.
The phone number that was listed for inquiries is no longer answered, and they won’t respond to emails.
Harley won’t repair them.
No upholstery shop that I have called (+10 in an 3 state area), will work on them.
No spare parts are available to effect repairs.

Be prepared to fix them yourself.

Also can someone steer me to a good backrest for this setup? Seems like having a trike I can't seem to find a backrest to use. I'm probably missing something but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Thanks for helping out!

My RZ seat broke a couple of years ago(something in the Air Valving). I tried to fix it but it didn't work. Lucky for me I am short enough to be comfortable enough without air so I ride it. As far as a Backrest I have a Mustang on my 16 Tri and wouldn't go any other way, but that's me.

^^^^^^
What “broke” on mine, was the air hoses from the valves to the bags apparently deteriorated and crumbled from the engine heat.
Pulling the seat cover back, and replacing the lines with small engine fuel line restored their function.
I still have a slow internal leak at the valve body, so the compressor never cuts all the way off. (power comes from the accessory switch so I can shut it off)
But again, there are ZERO spare parts available, and MILSCO (the manufacturer) refuses to respond to any communication efforts.

Just in case anyone has an old RZ seat kicking around and wondering if it works on the newer machines, here is my experience.

I have a RZ seat that I used on my 2010 Ultra Classic. I tried it on my 2021 tri glide and it fit (to my surprise). I did have to get PN 69201599A wiring harness kit to get power to the seat through the seats inflate / deflate buttons.

Don't know if it works the same way on the newer two wheel heavy tourers.
