I've used a good set of PVC pipe cutters (strong enough to cut sched40 pipe like butter). They work very well on various transmission cooler, power steering, and hydraulic hoses.
Ahh do not use crushing type cutters on metal tubing. Lesson learned?
Any type of cut off tool from a Dremel to a 12 inch cut off saw would work fine.
Oops, my bad. Missed the part about black braided oil line being made of metal tubing. I had it pictured in my mind that it was rubber hose encased with a black steel braid shell. Cool, thanks for the backup!

I thought I made it pretty clear in my original post that it was the black cloth braided, steel reinforced oil line tubing sold by DK products as an option to the plain rubber line. I assumed everyone would understand it was rubber. It is not a steel line like one might see on transmission lines or other such items.
If your post was not directed at me I will be glad to apologize.
