Shipping three wheels to the plater and back, will probably cost $200.

I travel all over during the year. Will have to start trying to locate where some of these chrome platter places are. To have my three EOM wheels done for $700 to $800 would be great.

For stock chrome wheels, check out ***** Shiney. He does them for less than $1000.

Had them on my '12, then had them moved over to the '14. Used them for 4 years (gave a 2 year warranty) and they still looked good when I traded for the '18. Good quality work.

I had mine done by ***** Shiny last August. The cost was around $1300 with shipping both ways included. My order included the 3 wheels chrome exchange, 2 front spacers, 2 new front bearings and baby moon hubcaps for the real wheels. See picture of the front wheel with spacers below.
Very pleased with the product and they're great people to work with. I highly recommend.
I checked other chromers who claimed to be cheaper than ***** Shiny but they didn't offer front bearings, spacers or hubcaps so they didn't really compare. Plus they wanted me to pay for the cores upfront until I ship them and then they would credit me. ***** Shiny doesn't do that, he only charges for the cores if you don't ship them back within 30 days after receiving the chrome ones.

Yeah, I called Joe at ***** Shiny 3 weeks ago to put me on the list for the trike wheels. He said he wouldn't have any in for at least 4 weeks, and I was the third one that called in that day for a set. So I'm waiting patiently.

@snipit. Not surprised. I had to wait 3 weeks for Joe to tell me that he got a set of stock TriGlide wheels in exchange. After that, it took 10 days to receive them chromed. If you can wait, it's well worth it. The craftsmanship is second to none. Good luck!

Okay, so I found three possibilities of platters that may do motorcycle wheels. Two are located close to Robertsdale AL, where we will be camped for about a month, then another one within 10 miles of Savanna TN where we will also be this spring.

I am going to contact all three to get information/prices. Wheels would need to be taken in with tires off and front bearing out, anything else in preparation? What I am thinking is just jack trike up and remove wheels myself, take to bike shop to have tires removed, then deliver to platter. Rims get done just reverse process. Am I missing something here?

No, that's about it. The platers will take care of prepping the wheels, chrome them and give them back to you. I recommend you install new bearings instead of putting the old ones back in. Also make sure the bike shop has the proper adapters for the rims when they mount the tires back on. You don't want them gouged or nicked. Good luck.
