2017/18 vs 2019/20 Worth the $$$?
Being on a fixed income, not only does Trade In Value matter Alot, but also Price of Tri-glide.
Have looked at lots of Tri-glides, really like the 2019 scorched orange/denim black, but the price difference between a used 17 to 19 is up to $12k difference.
So, is a 19/20 Worth thousands of $$$ more than 17/18?
Thanks, Later-

When the 2020 CVO's first came out many folks said they were not worth it, very few people, if any, would spend that much for them.
Over the last few months we've had MANY Customers call that have purchased the 2020 CVO Tri Glide and have been very pleased/happy with their purchase.
In 17 the Tri Glide moved to the M8 power plant. Is it needed? Probably not, but it is nice to have the extra torque in the low rpms.
In 19 the TG moved to the 114 M8 power plant. Is it worth it? To some yes, others don't really care.
In '19 the biggest change was to the electronics...faster screen, and the addition of the RDRS, which includes ABS and Traction Control. Is it worth it? Again, to some it is, and others it's not.
If you factor in the objective of resale value, the newer and lower miles, the more you will get out of it upon resale.
Below are a couple of reviews I did of my '19, with some thoughts about it compared to my previous '14 and previous to that, '11.

On that trade, even given all of the great deals I had gotten on the previous two trikes, the trade with prorated taxes and the dealership transferring about $3k of extras (including my DK Customs Floor Board Extentions and Bad *** flashing tail lights that I could not live without) off my 2017 cost me a flat $10k. Was it worth it? For me, ABSOLUTELY. I love the color, performance and feel of the 2019 a bunch and surprisingly don't feel bad about the $10k difference to trade up. I have put a combined approximate 30,000 miles between the three trikes and likely will not be trading my 2019. However, the 117ci CVO Tri Glides are WAY COOL and if it were not for the fact that I would have to shell out another wad of cash, I would love to have one. OTOH, the 2019 is completely stock other than the comfort accessories and the Love Jugs which some police departments are using on their factory police bikes and it hasn't hiccupped once in 8k miles. I can't see any compelling reason to trade at this time and am a very satisfied TGU owner. You might notice the Harley oils on the shelf as I do all of my prescribed maintenances myself in a very slow and methodical way insuring that everything is replaced and torqued to factory specs, etc. I also coincidentally got one of the last C7 Corvettes with a 7speed manual transmission at a blowout price so really couldn't justify any more expenditures on depreciating assets. Much good luck in your decisions. Bob

Agree, there are several improvement on 19's that are probably worth the difference over 17 & 18.
Guess, have to sell my trades first, H-D dealers are way, way to low on Yami, and only fair for Ultra. Everyone has there own Amount to spend for the love of motorcycles, and with now raising 3 Grandchildren, my budget is tight. One of those have to find a Great Buy, type tight.
Miss the 72 Vett, yours is very nice, Later-

We went to our local H-D Dealer and worked out a fair deal trading in my baby, the 08 Ultra-105th Anniversary, on a New 2019 Tri-glide Twisted Cherry. Was wanting the Scorched Orange or Silver flux, but none to be found new. Plan on this be my one and only Tri-glide, and maybe my last bike (said that five bikes ago) and at least I will know it was taking care of and hopefully a Trouble Free Harley, Later-
