Default Front tire alignment

I realized that my handlebars are ever so slightly aimed to the left side while riding straight down the road. I have a feeling it was this way ever since I had my local HD dealer install Legend suspension in the front forks and the rear shocks.

It's not very much but I notice it and it's starting to wear my Cobra Chrome front trike tire a little bit weird.

What's the easiest way to readjust the front forks to align it straight again?

Thanks!

If you can take it back to the installer (dealer), I would before I made any adjustments myself.

Is it pulling to one side, or does it go straight when you relax your grip on the bars? (on a flat road, without crown) What is the weird tire wear?

It will drive straight mostly, but it will slowly veer towards the side.

It's creating a weird tire wear pattern just left of the center of the front tire.

It could be also that you didn't detect anything before the front end work, and the rear alignment could be off a little. That can also make the front skewed a bit.from body alignment.
But either way you should bring it to the attention of the shop that just worked on the front end. Make them prove their work.

Never looked, just a question. The trike has a solid axle, how do you do belt tension? Can that skew the rear wheels?

Yes that can change the alignment ! I measure mine with a dial caliper. Once you see the way to adjust the tension you can understand.

You need to get yourself a shop manual for your trike for sure !

Something for the OP to think about then.

I have a trike with IRS back end so the wheels are set by the main cradle and A frames, the wheel alignment cannot change.

Actually, the Harley dealer installed the new Legend front fork suspension, and the Legend rear shocks at the same time, as well as the 1.25" lift kit. I never received the paperwork to find out if they did an alignment, but I seriously doubt they did.

I bought a factory HD Trike service manual and removed my rear tires and wheels. I used a verified straight metal level and measured from the pivot bolt reference point to the level on each side.

Left side is 17 7/16" distance and Right side is 17 3/8", which is on 1/16" difference.

Adjustment bolt length on the left side is 58.61mm, and the right side is 58.85mm, which is only .61mm difference. The service manual states within 1.6mm is acceptable.

The gap between the axle and sliders is 1.5" on each side.

I don't think the rear axle is to blame for the tracking issue with my front tire.
