Starting problems
Was riding my trike the other night. Slowed down to pull in my driveway when the bike cut off completely. I tried to start it again and all I got was a clicking noise form the starter. Has power. Lights radio everything comes on. The fuel pump doesn't prime everything but it does now. But still no engine turn over in attempts to start. Please help.
Not a H-D mechanic but I would start with checking battery connections first. Even though you are getting some power, tight connections are needed for the amp draw when starting. Next, if you have a battery tester, not a volt meter, but a real battery tester, then test the battery. After that, I would check you ground wire. Then I am out of ideas.

You did not say what year your trike is.
As said before, starters pull lots of amps versus radio or light needs. Good conditions are a must.
1. How old is your battery?
2. Check all the connections as stated above.
3. Get the battery load tested and see how many cold cranking amps (CCA) it is putting out and compare that to the CCA listed on the battery.
4. Many times a battery will have enough voltage to run the lights and dash but not enough amps to turn the starter over.
5. If all checks out good, check your charging system.

What is the volt meter reading on your bike???
Most will crank but will NOT start at about "10" volts or less.
For your bike to stop running and not crank over with the starter I'd first suspect the battery but I'd think that you may have a charging issue such as a bad voltage regulator (common on the '12 models) or depending on your mileage possibly a stator but my money would be on the battery or the V/R.

Although since it is on Facebook, it must be true.
