I'm putting in a HQ-0034 in mine next week,
20-----36 236 .500
51-----19 250 .500
will make good torque down low and will only require
the Timken B148 Bearings...just a good replacement.
I know there are good cams out there but I'm getting this
one free from a good friend....can't beat that deal!

Can I talk you into purchasing a set of HQ BlackOps lifters while you guys are in the cam chest? I don't think you will regret it. The stock lifters have much to be desired and the BlackOps are the most quiet I've used. Others here can attest.

Very good advice. M3 and I replaced our stock lifters with the BlackOps this past winter when we replaced the cams.

One other point of interest, you mention the cams are HQ-0034. You sure they're not the HQ500, the 0034 are for the 99-06 touring and pre 06 dyna Twin cams. The HQ500 are for the 07 and later touring twin cam and 06 and later dyna. Also I'm 100% in agreement with Mr Wizard on the Black Ops lifters, I installed 3 sets of them this winter and all 3 are pretty dang quiet.
