Kind of curious how much tick you had with the TW555 cams? I know some of the Woods cams are noisier than others, I've heard some that sounded like they were coming apart.
I havent noticed any tick with the 555,s , just the exhaust note really sharpened.
Im really happy with the overall peformance of my Wood cams with my 117 build. I get lots of low end torque with good roll on power to pass in 6th gear
I'd be happy with a 117 also, got to put a big old grin on your face every time you ride it.
yes, i think you should be good to go, i noted ealier that i clamped on my v&h twin slash and it sounded fine also they just wouldnt mount to the bike. the tw6-6 seem quiet also in the trike now .

yes a real nice rythem & sound, much better thah stock definitly a nice HD sound, but i have the rpm,s lowered, when my temp hits 220 i go to 928rpm till 300 degrees then it drops again. so at normal op. temps im at 928 rpms.
Did the swap out yesterday on wifes '10XXX. New inner bearings, replaced TW6-6 cams with TW555 (TW6-6 cams will be going in my RK/Hack), added Prowler directional lifters, installed Fueling HP+ oil pump, sealed the header wrap with spray sealer, oil/filter change. took a little less than 8hrs. Worst part is removing/replacing exhaust system, 2nd worst is adjusting the push rods-Andrews EZ install ( no room and those fine threads last forever), after that the rest was easy. Today wife I rode for about 100miles. The exhaust tone changed slightly to a bit more rumble and lope but not much. Really pleased with the oil pump, at 200 degree oil temp 928 idle it was 15 psi a rise of 6 psi from stock and at 3k rpm 40 psi (I know that was an increase but forgot what it was running befor) that should help with cooling also. Header wrap of course smoked and smelled really bad for a bit, cant tell if that helped with heat but probably did some. Wife thought it ran stronger, she even burned the tires off for the first time. I did notice a little more noise around the cam and lifters but not bad at all. Now to get some more miles on and see how my TMax tuner adjusts.

I hate pulling the exhaust also, I'm more on the sadistic side and use the stock push rods. Starting to gather the pieces and parts for the cam and trans sprocket swap on my mine and my dads this winter.

i hate the thought pulling the tank and upperend off if i wasnt doing some head work. my numbers are not exact on the oil pump preasures (really hard to see the little dots on the pressure gauge) but there was a significant rise at idle (thats what i wanted) and some at cruise as could be seen just by the needle position. If the volumn is increased like advertised cooling should benefit too.
