What are you guys buying? Black or chrome? Visible at all? Thanks
I bought black because I have the stock floorboard brackets (they are black) so putting on chrome extenders would not look right (IMHO) because the extenders are between the bracket and frame.
I think the SE have chrome brackets so then you would want chrome.
p.s. The skull bandana is pretty cool! Also I ordered the wrong ones to begin with and HG fixed me up and credited me without a problem, good quick customer service!!!
I was one of the lucky winners and can't wait to get them on. Is it possible to do w/o a stand?? Very quick delivery from Tom too. Haven't had a chance to get a look at the bike.
I did mine without a stand too. The shifter side was cake, the brake side was a little tougher due to tighter access for the back bolt and wires/cables.
I came out with a few thoughts. 1 - I love the extensions. 2 - the underside of my bike needs cleaned badly.
I would like to know if anyone knows of a brake lever that has a 1"extension (outwards)to go with my Harley goodies.
I love my extension but it would be cool to have the brake pedal matching it.
I bought the black extenders because my brackets are Black. I thought I read somewhere that you get the black if you have black and chrome if you have chrome. I believe one of the vendors mentioned that chrome extensions won't work well with the black brackets.....oh by the way, what a great product!
Thanks for the help guys. Hope to get to it soon and will let you all know how it "feels" after a ride. The wife's "due date" is tomorrow. She could go at any time so I am trying to sneak in short rides. Can't wait to try these extensions Tom. Also thanks for the bandanna!!

The extensions are basically universal in fitment. The only difference is the finish that you select. Chrome will fit on black brackets and black will fit on chrome brackets. The one big difference is on the '09 models. The hardware needed to install kits on CVO models is different from hardware used on stock models.
Someone needs to get a picture with the bandana on and their extensions so we can see what a killer deal you are getting. Who's first. The chrome brackets work fine. Why not add more bling to your bike. Chrome won't get you home, but it sure does look good.
Actully it moves then out 2"...lol ....inch each side..
I made my own set, thinking of making a set 1 1/2" ,but it may effect cornering and dragging the boards,
There are specific reasons for the length of the extensions besides the dragging issues. But fab some up and post some **** and a report. 1 1/2" will definitely make it more comfortable, that is for sure.
The bandanas are not for sale and are a promotional item shipped with our product as I have a case of them. I do not sell these bandanas and never have. I think there is a misunderstanding here. There are plenty of places that do sell these on the web and if you would like to be directed to a site that does sell I am more than willing to do so. My site is set up to sell my extensions and floorboard brackets only. That is all I sell at this time. In fact, these bandanas are only for forum members as a way to say thank you for your business as the forum has been good to me.
