The pricing on motorcycle wheels has to do with supply and demand. If you figure that total motorcycles in the US make up only a very small percentage of all the vehicles on the road you realize that the number of wheels that are made and sold for Harley Davidson's compared to your truck is a much smaller number. That means that we sell far less wheels than a similar manufacturer will make for cars and or trucks which equates to higher prices as we are not dealing with nearly the volume.
It is basic economics. We employ local machine shops to make all of our HogPro brand wheels as we insist upon stuff that is made in the USA as well. Stuff that is made overseas will always sell for much less as the total cost of manufacture is much less than having stuff made in the USA.
Manufacturing in the USA is a dying industry and we do what we can to keep it going and help it grow back to where it was.
