very nice! how is it at high speeds around 90 mph? i know with pretty much every fairing you put on the front of a dyna you start to get whobles what have you guys done to resolve this issue? i had a bear getting it ironed out when i built my fairing
I talked to you guys in Laughlin about fxdp police style saddle bags. Forward that to the decision maker
Thanks for coming by the booth! Could be a fun project down the line. After looking into those particular bags a bit, we realized that they could use quite a bit of improvement aesthetically. I know aesthetics are subjective, but the first thing, in my mind, that would have to be replaced are those huge piano hinges on the outside of the bag!
There's a market for a minimalist fairing too.
For the Dyna's that have Speedo and Tach and don't want a fairing but want those covered.
Could partially come around the headlamp then enclose the controls.
Would look Sporty and be protective.
Thanks for the input! We have started down that path with our new "Speed Freak" quarter fairing that should be available in July. It's our take on a quarter fairing. I'll go ahead and post a thread about that today! (should have been available last year, but got sidetracked with the batwing project) Here's a link http://www.deadcentercycles.com/Prod...erFairing.aspx .
Knowing that there has been a couple of quarters available on the market the last couple of years, is what your after smaller than that? Are you looking for the style of cover you would find on, say, the Buells? Just a small duckbill over the top of the headlight and gauges?
Thank you! I couldn't help but notice you have a Switchback. I just wanted to let you know that we are currently working on fitment of our full sized fairing for that model. Keep in touch for details!
I like the fact that it's designed to scale - not an oversized batwing that overwhelms the Dyna.
Thank you! We did that on purpose. Our initial test with the full sized fairing made the front end look too heavy and large. Much of that due to the narrower forks.
Side note; Is that the Maximus/Minimus pig truck in Seattle??
