After 20 years of pressure from my very good friends I joined the ranks and bought my first HD. As luck would have it I was in Kansas City some years back and toured the V-Rod factory. I was fond of the 03' 100 Year Anniversary V-Rod and found one about a month go. It sat in the garage until I completed the required BRC to get get my motorcycle endorsement.
I've discovered very quickly that if I'm not riding it I'm looking at things that I want to replace/upgrade on it. I was warned I might catch this disease and safe to say I'm infected.
The first add-on was easy - a windscreen. Now my wife (who swore she'd never support me getting a bike) is saying she wants to ride on it!
The bike came with the Sundowner seat and rider pillion from HD
What I can't figure out is WHICH sissy bar / back support that I could buy to add for her. The truth is that I don't know what I don't know How do I figure out which padded back support can be installed complimentary to the existing seat?
Looks like HD has only one sissy bar for that V-Rod. Need to get the base plate, too. If you are near a large dealership, take the bike, and ask them what you need. If they order something that doesn't fit, their bad.
