eazy, are those stock pipes? i was looking at vance & hines and also rineharts? recommendations?
No, mine are the Screamin' Eagle 16 Gauge slip-ons. I've always liked the way they look. The V & H PowerShots look a lot like them. Exhaust is personal, much like the bike itself. I'm not sure I could give you recommendations without knowing what you'd like.
What baffles can you remove and where are the located? I already drilled out the ends with 1/2 holes. Where else can I drill for more sound?
You can remove the inner baffle of the stock exhaust... It sounds great and you should pickup about 6 to 8 hp if you go topless as well with the K&N filter. vmod.com sales the stock exhaust already modded. of course you will need a fuel management system... pcIII or race tuner or there is a dozen others.
Gotta have what you like and make your bike yours. I like the black tips too, a Rinehart standard, both my Brother and weightlifting partner have true-duals on their FLHs. When I changed pipes Rinehart only offered the staggered true-duals for the V-Rod. Who knows if they would have had the 2-1 out.
