You're starting to look like your dad, with that touch of gray showing!

Btw, I see you're in Illinois. I lived in Naperville for the last 20 years before I moved to Idaho. Where are you in Illinoiz?

I left the Night Rod alone in the garage for 9 days while the wife and I toured on the Limited. Today I took the Night Rod for an afternoon ride, down through the Starved Rock area.

I had such a good time.

Headed over to Sananna, then into Iowa, down to Clinton, then back into Illinois. I stopped at Lock & Dam 13.

It was only in the mid 70's today, which is strange for this time of year, but I'll take it.

Its been a long winter, but the Night Rod is alive, once again.

Warmed it up, took a little spin, and put it away.

Maybe itll hit 20,000 this year.

This is the first I've really checked out these vrods. Just looking at them, looks as if they have a similar rake as my breakout.

Almost exactly the same ergonomics: raked-out front end, forward controls, and a short handlebar give the rider a classic "clamshell" riding position.

The VRSC-R "Street Rod" had mid-controls, and had a reputation as basically a "sleeper sportbike."

I'd love to find one at a "can't refuse" price.

Put the bullet fairing back on, then went out hunting Easter eggs.....

Fairing back on.

Out where the deer and the antelope roam...

....or at least the bison.

13 years later.

Today's ride. I took the Limited out after lunch.
