Poorly running Vrod
Hi there, whilst riding with the bike (NRS) running perfectly, suddenly it developed a misfire and now, starts but only runs briefly then misfires and stops. It will start but will only idle for a few seconds and dies. Any attempt to rev the engine will cause it to stall? Any suggestions as to what it could be? I'm thinking 1. voltage regulator, 2. fuel pump. Any suggestions gratefully received. Getting desperate!

A quick check to see if it's a fuel issue; hook a pressure gauge up to the Schrader valve. It should be very steady, if you see it swinging wildly the suction sock may be disintegrating or the line from the pump to the fuel filter may have cracked.
It's an easy check while looking for sources of the problem.
