Default Need a little help....

As you can see in my sig pic, I am a bagger guy. I need a little assistance. In my quest to be a little different than every other bagger on the road, I am thinking of doing a V-Rod tail light on my RG. I have an idea on how I am going to do it but need to know the measurements of the tail light so I know if it will fit in the stock RG rear fender. I will basically french it in....hopefully just buy a V-Rod rear fender and cut the factory V-Rod tail light mount out and weld into the RG fender. How much is on the back side of the V-Rod fender? I need to know if I will have tire clearance issues. I think the angle of the lense should work pretty goods too.

So measurements please and let me know if you think my idea will work.

Thanks guys,
RJ

Default RE: Need a little help....

Hole in fender is 4" x 4.5"
Taillight is 4.75" x 5.25"
Taillight sticks below surface by about 0.875"
