I'm thinking of getting a V-Rod and it seems like the better deals are on the used Night Rods/Street Rods. Is there a way to put forward controls on these models? Who makes a kit for this?
Yes you can put forwards on them, your best bet is to find someone that wants to swap your mids for their forward controls. Thats what im going to do. I have forwards on my DX but I want mids.
Putting forwards on a VRSCR Street Rod might prove to be more difficult and costly than it's worth. Realistically you would have to change out the lower frame tubes and the radiator shrouds to use Harley's forwards, unless you do a lot of research and find an aftermarket that would fit---I have heard of none (doesn't mean they are not out there though) To put forwards on a VRSCD Night Rod one would only have to get forward controls and they could bolt on in the same place as the VRSCA or VRSCB V-Rod. This, in my opinion, would be FAR easier than putting forwards on a Street Rod.

Thats why I would swap with someone, it will cost about 1500.00 from the dealer for everything. It would be great to find someone and meet up up with both bikes and do the swap.
The DX needs more parts to swap to mids, than the D mids to forwards is what I hear. The DX is actually missing the mounting bracket for mids is my inderstanding...
